Orthopedist Questions Bursitis

Is the pain in my elbow bursitis?

I have a constant pain in my left elbow. It seems to go all the way around the joint. Is this bursitis?

1 Answer

The most common bursa is located in the back of the elbow and pain associated with this is located the tip of the elbow. Occasionally you will have more diffuse pain with increased pain and swelling. Pain within the joint may be due to arthritis or other inflammatory processes such as gout, psoriasis to name a few. If pain is constant and disabling for 4-6 weeks probably should see a doctor. Good luck
