Is there any cure for lactose intolerance?

I was diagnosed with lactose intolerance. Is it serious? Is there any cure for lactose intolerance?

Avoidance is the best remedy.
No, there is no cure. People with true lactose intolerance have insufficient lactase enzyme produced by the small intestine. So the only solutions are to avoid dairy or take lactase enzyme when dairy is consumed. Adding lactase enzyme to milk is what makes Lactaid a good milk alternative.
STOP eating/drinking anything with LACTOSE in it!! Which generally means avoiding foods derived from DAIRY products (i.e., including milk. cheese, ice cream, yogurt, etc.). You can usually find LACTOSE-FREE foods to eat and thus avoid the problem.
No cures. You just need to avoid dairy. Or use adequate amounts of the enzyme preparation if in case you do use dairy products.
