“My son suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. Will this ever be cured?”
My son has cystic fibrosis and has been managing it since he was 5 years old. I can't watch him suffer any more. Is there a cure for this disease in the future?

CF related cure is not available yet. Care under supervision of CF center team is the best way to go.
We certainly hope so. Currently lung transplant is an option when the lungs get terminal. Antibiotics when infections, pulmonary toilet and taking enzymes and trying to maintain weight helps also. The gene has been identified but there are many subsets that cause this so one treatment was not a cure all as we once hoped
