Naturopathic Physician Questions Allergies

Is there a cure in naturopathy for a cold due to allergies?

My son wakes up every morning with a cold and runny nose. Spring is coming, so I believe this is due to his allergies. Is there a naturopathic cure for this?

Catching the cold and allergies are not the same. They may share similar symptoms but have different causes. Yes, there are many options to prevent, alleviate or recover from colds and allergies via naturopathy. Mainly by improving your immune system and removing triggers.
There are many things that can be helpful for that.
If this is truly from allergies then vitamin C 3 grams, and 3 grams of bioflavonoids such as Quercitin. This is however an adult dose.
Have you tried aromatherapy?
Yes. Understanding the triggers will help us get specific with treatment.

Yes! By addressing the allergies, excessive histamine production and other factors that contribute, reducing and even eliminating colds is possible. The allergy cause/type and exposure source(s) are a big component of guiding how simple or in depth the treatment will be. If you’re unable to find a local or telehealth practitioner, you can book a free 15 minute phone or telehealth consult here: https://booking.mangomint.com/guidingelementsmedicalcenter
Typically when looking at these kinds of symptoms, we would look more in depth at food allergies in conjunction with environmental allergies. Naturopathic medicine is really good at dealing with these issues.
Naturopathic medicine is a good option. You need to find a skillful naturopathic doctor.
Allergies have increased since the introduction to more and more fast foods, packaged foods and the chemicals being used in the manufacturing of these foods. Due to the increase of chemical toxicity within your body allergy attacks from pollen and other airborne allergens have increased.
When you understand what’s happening during allergy attacks, treating them naturally seems like plain common sense. In this article I teach you the Steps to Understanding Allergies and Overcoming them..................https://juliedoherty.net/understanding-allergies/
Yes absolutely. His histamine level is too high. You can learn how to reduce it by going to mthfrgenesupport.com and joining the patient portal. He will not have allergies going forward if you address it now. Also abound high histamine foods like strawberries and chocolate and nuts.

There are naturopathic therapies to help reduce the symptoms of a cold due to allergies, but more importantly naturopathy can help directly with reducing your son's response to the allergens he is exposed to.
Sounds like allergic rhinitis. Have an ND help sort out the possible allergies and sensitivities. The ND can develop a safe and effective natural remedy plan for him.
Hi,

Children are my best friends. First of all, is it a natural vaginal delivery or a c-section? And did you breastfeed? Knowing he had the precious colostrum from mother's milk mostly on the first 3 days of breast milk. Was he treated with antibiotics and his GUT health - diarrhea, vomiting or constipation. Gut health starts with digestion, absorption and excretion and all addressed with good food. Try to avoid dairy for 2 weeks and give him probiotics with lots of good water to drink. No bottled soda drinks.
Check into NSC. Beta Glucan, to say it simply, it is an immunomodulator, which supports and balances the immune system response.
Yes it is possible. You have to explore the cause of the allergy as it may be inhalent or food related. Sometimes you can reduce or eliminate the exposure. Other times it is dependent on the person's epigenetics and how efficiently they clear histamines from the body. Finally, understand why the body is overreacting immunologically.
