Proctologist Questions Hemorrhoids

How can a proctologist treat my anal pain?

Whenever I pass stool, I feel severe pain in my anal area. I'm way too young to have hemorrhoids, so I know it's not that (40 years old). What else could this be? I have an appointment with a proctologist soon, but how do they usually treat general anal pain?

This is an area you cannot "see".  Your physician will be able to examine your rectal area.  Many times pain is caused by an anal fissure (a small tear), hemorrhoids that you cannot feel, small sebaceous cysts which cover an ingrown hair, an abscess, or even just skin irritation.
Keep your appointment to find out what is going on in the area.
You probably have a fissure. Consult a colon and rectal surgeon.

There are many causes of anal pain. You need a diagnosis to determine the correct treatment.
