The time when you can have sex after surgery depends on the type of surgery that is done. The big picture is that you have to listen to your body. If you have lifting restrictions, then you should follow the restriction along with sex.
It depends on the kind of surgery you are having. A good rule is when you feel up to performing any kind of strenuous activity, whether that be sex, jogging, or weight lifting, you should be able to return to that activity. If you don't feel up to it, then don't do it. Talk to your surgeon about any limitations specifically related to your procedure.
It depends of the type of surgery done and after you feel capable to do it discuss it with the surgeon that performed the operation
