Chiropractor Questions Shooting pain

My daughter has a shooting pain down her leg. Can a chiropractor help?

My 10 year old daughter is a soccer player who started getting sharp, shooting pains down her right leg starting from the hip down. She's had x-rays and all was OK. She still has the pains, though. Can a chiropractor help with this kind of pain?

Most of the time shooting pain down the legs is affected by sciatic nerve irritation or it could be muscle irritation or the fascia around the muscle. I would suggest seeing a chiropractor and having an evaluation done and maybe diagnostic imaging and go from there
Chiropractic can definitely help. Most likely she has a pinched nerve in the lower back.

I would certainly let her be evaluated by a Doctor of Chiropractic, they may very well be able to diagnose and treat the cause of her pain.
Yes
Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between the body’s main structures – the skeleton, the muscles, and the nerves – and the patient’s health. Chiropractors believe that health can be improved and preserved by making adjustments to these structures, particularly to the spinal column. They do not prescribe drugs or perform surgical procedures, although they do refer patients for these services if they are medically indicated.

With this in mind, I know that when an x-ray is performed and there is no fracture or dislocation then the issue is most likely structural (the joint is not moving as it should) and this is what chiropractors do best.

Thanks,

Yes, this sounds like chiropractic would be a very good option for your daughter.
Chiropractic can help by performing a chiropractic spinal adjustment in the lower back to realign the vertebrae that is out of alignment which is pinching the nerve and causing the pain to shoot down the leg. X-rays only show if there’s any fracture. Chiropractors can correct your daughters leg pain.
