Oncologist Questions Blood Tests

What are the tests recommended to check blood cell levels?

My mother had been detected with cancer 3 years back, for which she was treated successfully. However, she is now complaining of pain in her bones and joints. What are the tests that could be recommended to check her blood cell levels to know if the cancer is striking back?

There isn’t a specific blood test to detect cancer, she should see her oncologist and depending on lab and physical exam, a bone scan or pet scan can help figure out if this is her cancer returning.
If she is on an aromatase inhibitor anti-cancer pill, that may be causing the increased pain. If she’s not on an AI, can do a bone scan to see if her bones look okay. No blood tests really work.
