What age can a child have a Tylenol tablet?

My child is 4 years old with a fever. What age can a child have a Tylenol tablet?

Tylenol tablets and liquid are the same medicine -- limitations to taking tablets include: 1) the ability to swallow a tablet; and 2) proper dosing for weight. The amount of liquid dosing is changed for a patient's weight to deliver the right amount of medicine, but tablets are a set amount. To know if your child can take a tablet, you must know if: 1) s/he is able to swallow a tablet; and 2) if the tablet will deliver the proper amount of medicine for your child's weight. Check with your pediatrician before giving him/her a tablet to be sure.

Hello

Tylenol can be given at any age. As long as your child feels comfortable swallowing a pill otherwise you can give the liquid. Feel better!
