What can be the cause of my daughter's diarrhea?

My daughter is 7 year old, and she has had diarrhea for almost a week. She's been eating a lot more vegetables lately, but I don't think it's from that change in her diet. What can be the cause?

Viral gastroenteritis is a common cause of diarrhea. Other cause is consuming too much juice and soda. Too much vegetable intake can change your bowel habit and may have more frequent stool because of the fiber.
Consult your Pediatric gastroenterologist if the diarrhea persist for more than 2 weeks for causes of chronic diarrhea such as celiac disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Diarrhea more than a week needs further workup. She have initially had a stomach virus and it may take a week or so before she can absorb foods like she used to. Avoid high sugar fruit juice and whole milk, use lactaid milk. If diarrhea persists she may need a stool for culture and giardia
