“What causes daily diarrhea?”
I get diarrhea every day. What could cause diarrhea for long periods of time?

When working up diarrhea, first we need to know how long it has been happening and we look for "alarm symptoms" of blood in the stool, weight loss and anemia. If you have no alarm symptoms, then it might be irritable bowel. A proper evaluation by GI is needed to make a diagnosis for diarrhea, since there are so many possible causes when it is chronic.
