What causes nosebleeds in children?

My son is 10 years old and often gets nosebleeds. What causes nosebleeds in children?

Thank you for your question! The most common reason for nosebleeds in kids is "nose picking," which may cause a small abrasion in the very delicate tissue inside the nose. Some kids have an issue with allergies or colds that would cause them to run their nose more. How to stop a nosebleed: apply pressure by pinching the nose for a few minutes and lean forward.
When to be concerned: when it does not stop with pressure or if there are other signs of bleeding in their skin, unexplained bruising, or gum bleeding.
Hope this helps.
Hello,

Most likely is just lack of humidity in the air and to be honest, kids pick their noses so often that they injure blood vessels in their nostrils. Try some saline gels OTC or KY jelly and if not going away, you should probably consider seeing a specialist for ear, nose and throat.
