Surgeon Questions Stomach pain

What could this pain on the right side of belly be?

I am randomly getting a very sharp pain on the right side of my belly button. Could this be appendicitis or just a pulled muscle? Should I see a doctor?

Sounds like a hernia.
The source of the pain could be many things including appendicitis, an abdominal wall hernia, or a pulled muscle. Based on the severity of the pain and how long it has been going on, a patient should see a doctor in the office or in the emergency room.
Appendicitis is typically acute onset of pain that persists. It rarely is chronic and intermittent. It can also be associated with fevers, nausea, and vomiting. I would recommend speaking to your primary care physician about your symptoms.
