What do these stomach pains mean?

It doesn't happen often but 1 day every 3 or more months. I get a sharp pain right below my sternum and sometimes pain about 3 inches lower. About 3 inches to the left of the middle pain and the same on right side as well.

Sorry but not enough detail to answer. It might be pain from the abdominal wall, musculature or from the intestines. Cannot narrow this down unless more information is provided. Plus a physical exam may be needed to figure out what the pain is from.

This is probably gas due to not digesting your food well. If this pain continues you should definitely get worked up by a GI doctor.
