Assuming that you have not had a skull fraction, the most common reasons would by Q-tip trauma from cleaning or an eardrum perforation from infection or blunt ear trauma,
The most common cause for blood in the ear is a scratch from a tip or finger. If the blood is associated with ear pain and blockage it could be from an ear infection which stretches the ear drum and causes bleeding from blood vessels on the ear. At some point, it would be worth having your doctor check your ear.
BLOOD COMING OUT OF THE EAR COULD BE AS SIMPLE AS HAVING A SCRATCH IN THE EAR CANAL, WHICH MAY HAVE OCCURRED FROM USING A 'Q-TIP'. IF THIS IS THE PROBLEM, IT MAY HEAL ALL BY ITSELF. IF YOU HAVE PAIN WITH THE BLEEDING, PULL ON YOUR EAR LOBE. IF THAT HURTS, THERE CAN BE AN INFECTION IN THE WALLS OF THE CANAL. THAT REQUIRES EAR DROPS. IF YOU HAVE PAIN THAT'S NOT CAUSED BY PULLING ON YOUR EAR LOBE, IT MAY MEAN THAT YOUR EAR DRUM POPPED A BLOOD VESSEL, OR THE EARDRUM ITSELF POPPED. THIS EAR DRUM PROBLEM IS OFTEN ASSOCIATED WITH PAIN ALSO, AND SWELLING OR FLUID BEHIND THE EAR DRUM. THAT CONDITION MAY BE ASSOCIATED WITH SINUS CONGESTION. ORDINARILY, I'D TELL YOU TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT BY A HEALTH PRACTITIONER WHO CAN INSPECT YOUR EAR AND ASSESS THE ABOVE. BUT BECAUSE OF THE RESTRICTIONS ABOUT STAYING AT HOME, TO AVOID COVID-19, YOU'D HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN GO TO A PLACE WHERE YOU WILL BE PROTECTED. ASSUME EVERYONE HAS COVID-19, WEAR A  N-95 OR KN-95 MASK. CLEAN YOUR HANDS WELL.   CONTACT THE HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONER FIRST AND GO TO AN OFFICE. DO NOT GO TO URGENT CARE CENTER OR ER, BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL MORE LIKELY BE SICK IN THOSE LOCATIONS.

It could simply be 1) EAR INFECTION - LEFT UNTREATED, IT CAN CAUSE MILD BLEEDING; 2) TRAUMA TO EAR DRUM; 3) BLEEDING DISORDER OR, IF PATIENT IS ON BLOOD THINNER, HEAD INJURY.
