Spinal stenosis is narrowing of the spinal cord. The spinal cord is surrounded by CSF or cerebral spinal fluid and this is how the spine obtains its nutrients. When there is pressure on the spinal cord, the flow of electrical activity in the nerves is decreased and can cause different symptomatology depending on where the spinal stenosis is located.
Spinal stenosis is when there is narrowing of the spinal cord that can be due to various reasons. Some of those reasons are degeneration of the spinal column, poor posture (wrong curvatures), and bulging or herniated disc.
