Depends on what’s irritating them. But lubricating eye drops are safe and over the counter to try first. Itching then try OTC allergy drops. If the problem persists or gets worse then we need to examine you.
Any over the counter lubricating eye drop will help for irritated eyes. If you can make an appointment to see your ophthalmologist he or she can recommend the best brand that fits your type of irritation.
Impossible to know unless the cause of the irritation is identified. See your ophthalmologist for its determination and appropriate Rx
You probably need preservative free artificial tears at least three times a day. Most likely you have dry eyes. This is very common in my practice. You might want to try 2 different types one for each eye to see which one you like the best.
There are many reasons for someone to be experiencing irritation. With no redness or blurry vision, the most likely culprit would be dry eye syndrome. Try to stay hydrated, avoid room fans, humidify your work space and sleeping space, and take frequent breaks on the computer. Eyedrops made for lubrication, called artificial tears, can also be very helpful. Avoid any eye drops that indicate for “red eyes,” otherwise, any lubricant drop is very safe. Thicker eye drops (called gels) work very nicely and are available at any local drugstore.
Artificial tears may help with your symptoms.
Cooled warm sterile water from your kettle. Otherwise buy artificial eyedrops from local pharmacy
