Which type of crown is best for back teeth?

I am a 38 year old female. I want to know which type of crown is best for back teeth?

If we are thinking in terms of durability and seal. Gold crowns are the best. However aesthetics calls for zirconia or emax crowns.
Gold crowns are the best, they last the longest and bacteria are not attracted to them, plus they soft enough not to wear down the tooth it is paired with in the bite. Now that I have said that, most people do not get a gold crown due to cosmetics and cost. Zirconia crowns are cosmetic and have strength to last in molar areas, they are not indestructible and occassionaly I have seen one break. PFM (porcelain fused to metal) has a metal sub layer and porcelain baked one top (think porcelain coated sink), they have a long track record but can have porcelain chip off in molar areas and are very hard on a natural tooth paired in the bite with it.
Cast gold crowns or Zirconia (Porcelain crowns)
If you are not concerned about the color, gold is the best. It is also kinder to the tooth it bites against in the opposing arch! If you want a tooth colored crown, a zirconium crown is stronger than porcelain.
