Why is obesity considered dangerous?

I'm 30 years old, and I've always been big. I haven't had any problems with my health. Why is obesity considered dangerous?

Problems come slowly as you get older:

-Hypertension
-Diabetes
-Infertility
-Skin
-Hips and knee pain
-Mobility
-Daily living
Firstly, it is a burden on your heart and spine and joints and lungs over the long run. Secondly, if the reason for your weight is bad eating habits, then over your lifetime, that will not be a good thing.
