Established in 1978 by her father, Dr. Samuel Klagsbrun, Four Winds Hospital has a mission to provide exceptional patient care, a mission she is dedicated to continuing. Her specialities include a combination of diagnosing, psychopharmacological management and therapeutic interventions to alleviate the suffering of acutely ill patients.
In addition to her clinical role, Dr. Klagsbrun serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she received a Teaching Commendation Letter for overall excellence in teaching from the Office of Medical Education.
During her educational journey, Dr. Klagsbrun graduated from Princeton University, Magna Cum Laude. She received her Medical Degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency and child psychiatry fellowship at the Payne Whitney Clinic of New York Presbyterian Hospital. Further enhancing her expertise, she completed an Advanced Child Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program at the Columbia Psychoanalytic Institute in New York and studied at the Ackerman Family Institute.
Board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry as well as in adult psychiatry, Dr. Klagsbrun is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
Actively involved in professional organizations, Dr. Klagsbrun serves on the Executive Board of the New York Council on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the New York County Psychiatric Society. In addition, she holds the titles of Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (DFAPA) and Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (DFAACAP).
