Graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from ASU, she went on to earn her Medical Degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1986. Her dedication to comprehensive healthcare was further solidified through her residency in family medicine at St. Paul Hospital and Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

A testament to her unwavering commitment to patient care, Dr. Charniga spent time traveling across the United States, filling in for doctors on vacation before establishing herself in Las Vegas in 1990.
