Back in 1969, Dr. Herskovic graduated with his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He then went on to perform his internship in internal medicine at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn in 1970, his residency in diagnostic radiology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in 1972, and his residency in radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 1974.

With over five decades of experience, he is board-certified in therapeutic radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The mission of the ABR is to serve patients, the public, and the medical profession by certifying that its diplomates have acquired, demonstrated, and maintained a requisite standard of knowledge, skill, and understanding essential to the safe and competent practice of diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

Licensed to practice medicine in Illinois, Ohio, Georgia, and Indiana, Dr. Herskovic is affiliated with West Suburban Medical Center and Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers.
