Dr. Vijungco is a board-certified vascular surgeon who is currently serving patients at Discover Vein and Vascular Center of Arizona in Chandler and Mesa, Arizona. Dr. Vijungco earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 1996. He received his training in peripheral vascular surgery at the prestigious Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois – a world renowned university for the advancement of vascular surgery. During his tenure at Northwestern University, he was awarded first place in the Annual Research Science Award for his research in abdominal aortic aneurysms.
Dr. Vijungco is board-certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.
Dr. Vijungco has conducted numerous publications on the management of carotid disease. He has also written a book chapter on endovascular techniques for the American Board of Surgery.
