He stayed at the university to complete a rotating internship, after which he relocated to the United States to continue his medical education.
There, he performed an internship at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado and a residency program at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Kostandy is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
A Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), the doctor is also an active member of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate, the American Society of Internal Medicine, the American Medical Association, the New York State Society for Internal Medicine, and the American Federation for Medical Research.
