Rita R. Kumar, MD, FACP, is a highly regarded internal medicine physician currently serving patients at the Medical Group of Culver City in Culver City, California. Additionally, Dr. Kumar is an active member of the American Medical Association and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. For her accomplishments and participation in public speaking, she received the UCLA Clinical Faculty Member Recognition for Associate Clinical Professorship in the Department of Medicine, Great Women of the 21st Century Award by the American Biographical Institute in 2004, Physician of the Year Award by The National Republican Congressional Committee's Physician's Advisory Board in 2003 and America�s Top Physician 2008 by the Consumers� Research Council of America. Presently, she acts as Principal Investigator in CIRT, a study on reducing inflammation and lowering the risk of having a second heart attack, a stroke, or dying of heart disease, a position she assumed in 2013.
