Lawrence Singerman, MD, FACS is an board-certified retina specialist who sees patients at Retina Associates of Cleveland in Ohio.
Dr. Singerman completed his retinal training at the Wilmer Eye Institute of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He founded Retina Associates of Cleveland, Ohio's largest retina group. As well as, the Macula Society, and he has been continuously re-elected as the society's Executive Secretary. He is also a Charter Inductee of the Retina Hall of Fame and Vice-chair of the Council of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute of the University of Miami School of Medicine.
Dr. Singerman's areas of expertise include retinal, vitreous, and macular diseases; age-related macular degeneration; diabetic retinopathy; and retinal vascular occlusive diseases. Known for his compassion and dedication to helping each and every patient who walks into his offices, he diagnoses retinal problems and macular degeneration, and performs eye examinations. He has been a principal investigator in over 200 multicenter clinical research trials, given over 600 presentations at national and international courses and symposia on macular and retinal vascular disease, and authored over 400 publications. His research interests include medical therapies predominantly for wet and dry macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusion.
