It depends on the condition of your spine and surrounding tissues. As long as it’s a healthy spine (no pathology, fractures, bone loss, etc.) and the doctor determines you need an adjustment, then yes, it’s safe to get an adjustment on your neck. I use an instrument for most of my neck adjustments because a lot of people are afraid of getting their necks “cracked,” but those adjustments are very safe.

Hello!
A chiropractic manipulation, aka an adjustment, is when the doctor applies a force to the spine, using their hands or a percussive instrument, in order to correct subluxations. Subluxations are interferences that block the brain and nerve system from healing itself. Subluxations usually come in the form of misalignments in the joints of the spine.

Does cracking your neck release endorphins?
Yes, it does, but in my opinion, it’s not worth the risk. Just because we hear a crack sound doesn’t mean it’s going in the right place.

Why does my pelvis crack?
There can be many reasons, but the most common reasons I tend to see are due to misalignment of the joints and muscle imbalance.
