I recommend not to exercise for the day of surgery. I have had patients that did exercise after without any problem. But if you are numb you could bite your lip or tongue and not be aware of it till later. I would say just take it easy. You'll live missing a day at the gym. If more than one implant is placed I would definitely say not to exercise.
