A crown that is designed properly AND the Patient takes good care by brushing correctly, flossing properly and avoiding sticky foods ,can last 30+ years.
In many cases the patient has been neglectful and that is one powerful reason why the crown was needed in the first place. Dentists make a replacement for the patient who needs a crown. Today's materials and techniques are excellent, however remember that the oral cavity is always moist, full of microorganisms and in daily activity,if you add high temperature and lack of care , crowns will NOT last over 20 yrs. as intended.

Yes, but probably best to be a bit cautious for the first week. When the bone site is prepared the body treats it as any injury to bone. Injuries to bone heal by developing a blot clot which over time plays a role in development of new bone. The same thing happens with an implant site.
I have never heard of exercise being the cause of an implant failure but if you are power lifting or engaging in other exercises which might make you clench or otherwise stress your jaws there may be a slight chance that this would interfere with healing and the success of the implant.
Aerobic exercises without heavy lifting should be fine.

Hello,
Good for you for being so health conscious. Yes, you can exercise after having an implant placed (with certain precautions of course). If you are having general anesthesia (being put the sleep) for one reason or another, you may feel tired during the rest of the day. If you are having the extraction at the same time you might want to forego the exercise for a day or two to make sure you don't have any throbbing or bleeding. It is best to talk to the doctor about the exercise as only they know exactly what is being done for your implant.
Hope this helps.
My best to you!

I recommend not to exercise for the day of surgery. I have had patients that did exercise after without any problem. But if you are numb you could bite your lip or tongue and not be aware of it till later. I would say just take it easy. You'll live missing a day at the gym. If more than one implant is placed I would definitely say not to exercise.
