Life is a series of lessons. Some we learn the first time, others require us to get knocked down a few times to finally look up and see the light.
In AA, they call this the black hole. Wayne Dyer tells the story of falling into the same hole. The Bible has various proverbs about falling and choosing a new path. Eminem raps about monotony. Bruce Springsteen wrote composed the song Rise Up, after 9/11. It’s a universal message of hope through self-initiated choices to change the patterns that fail you.
Happiness is a choice. Success is the consequence.
Choose to look up from that hole, see the light; choose to wall a different street to avoid falling into the hole. Stop engaging in the same thoughts and behaviors that created the problem. You can move forward and rise up starting with the intention and a realistic plan broken into small achievable goals.
Success reinforces positive change which creates a good mood which motivates greater changes which leads to success....It’s a beautiful cycle. Enjoy the ride!
