Dr. Raymond Singer is the Chief of Cardiac Surgery at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital, in East Norriton, Pennsylvania. He is also a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. He is a member of the Heart and Vascular Institute of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Singer specializes in heart surgery, including coronary artery bypass graft surgery, mitral valve repair surgery, and complex multi-valve operations, including double and triple valve repair/replacement operations and combined valve with aneurysm surgery. Dr. Singer performs the Cox Maze IV operation for patients suffering from atrial fibrillation. Dr. Singer also performs a minimally invasive surgery for atrial fibrillation that includes places an occluding clip on the left atrial appendage to reduce the risk of stroke from atrial fibrillation and even eliminate the need for anti-coagulation. Dr. Singer has been in active surgical practice for over 30 years, having performed over 7,500 heart and thoracic surgeries. He is known for his caring bedside manner, treating patients with respect and empathy. He is an active member of the community and has served in many leadership positions.
