It is within normal limit to have pain 6 days after having an extraction. It’s all depending on the healing complicity of the individual, the complication of the extraction, the location of the tooth, and the post-operative care. If the extraction site releases a bad odor and the pain increases after 6 days. The patient may have a dry socket, which is a fairly common complication, call the dentist and have them take a look at it. Hope this helps.
