Zachary M. Kilpatrick, Jr., MD

Dr. Zachary Kilpatrick treats patients at Palmetto Imaging – West Columbia in West Columbia, SC. He is also affiliated with Palmetto Health Baptist and Global Imaging Solutions. Dr. Kilpatrick is board-certified in radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He has served as the lead radiologist for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks and many other regional college and high school athletic programs. Dr. Kilpatrick remains very active with the care of several local and regional collegiate and high school athletes. As a radiologist, Dr. Kilpatrick specializes in diagnosing and treating disease and injury, using medical imaging techniques such as x-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography (PET), fusion imaging, and ultrasound.

Radiologists are at the forefront of imaging technology, they pioneer the use of CT, MRI, PET, and fusion imaging as well as minimally invasive procedures such as endovascular treatment of aneurysms and tumors, percutaneous biopsies, and pinpoint radiation therapy. Dr. Kilpatrick’s clinical interests include adult radiology, pediatric radiology, head-to-toe MRI, and advanced imaging. He provides outpatient care locally and speaks regionally to colleagues and healthcare professionals. Dr. Kilpatrick attributes his success to hard work and great background training in his fellowship and medical school. By taking a detail-oriented approach to patient care, he is able to provide exceptional and accurate radiology treatment. When he’s not working, he spends his time being a father, fishing, hunting, and cooking. Dr. Kilpatrick maintains professional memberships with the American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America.
