As new omicron variants manifest, the hope that the loss of one million Americans, largely through mismanagement, begins to fade. As public health proponents are retired, fired, or overruled by courts, the risk of mass epidemic rises. Democracy is showing its weaknesses and autocracy is showing its capability of making life easier by substituting pre-ordained solutions for chosen ones. Autocracy can be of the left or of the right, but the power to be able to seize control is what is being fought for now. If someone pays $25,000-$85,000 for a gas guzzler for survival and not for pleasure, then the price of gas may be more important to them, for the moment, than other issues such as womens rights. Do you think these people should be more responsible to the climate change concerns of the world than the rich and famous?
The change of language and technology advancement in each new generation makes it more and more difficult for intergenerational dialogue. What can we do collectively to help this issue?
