The relationship between news and health seems to depend on factors on both sides of the equation. News availability has been rocketed by the worldwide internet. Countries which are locked out of access because of dictatorship or poverty are overwhelmingly disadvantaged. But a population worn down by superflu and COVID isolation cannot be happy about spreading infection in places in the world that it associates with pleasure and relaxation.
The Ukraine conflict is extremely disturbing because of the destruction and death accompanied by the reality that in sending jets and super tanks the West and NATO are extending WW 2 and that an employed nuclear response by Putin, even without a bomb e.g. radiation in packages killing super tank occupant's inside, bringing on WW3.
It is necessary for those of us who can cooperate with our physicians and health deliverers to do so with recognition of their stress and vulnerability. There is a clear relationship between politics and health care, there is a clear relationship between policing and individual and collective safety. It is necessary to know these to avoid dragging your provider into the discussion. (Unless it's unavoidable) Good Luck!
