Acupressure is the use of pressure to stimulate the acupuncture points (nerve structures in the body), but putting metal acupuncture needles into the acupuncture points gives a stronger effect to the nervous system. You can also put into several points at once and leave for 20 minutes. You cannot do this with acupressure, acupressure is more painful than the needles. We do use acupressure to locate and test for the best acupuncture points to use before putting in the needle.
