Dr. Janice Campbell D.O.M., L.AC., ADS is an experienced and compassionate Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist in Baltimore, with a commitment to changing the lives of her patients for the better. She has a general private practice in Charles Village, where she does her best work with people living along the stress / trauma / PTSD spectrum by helping to alleviate its effects on their bodies, minds and hearts.
Campbell is also the AOM Director of Clinical Education at Maryland University of Integrative Health, a supervisor in the MUIH student clinic, and an adjunct faculty member. She is one of the founders and ongoing practitioners involved in Acupuncture For Veterans in Maryland at the VFW Post #521 in Owings Mills, which has been in operation on Monday nights since Veterans Day 2007.

Because of how tiny they are (about the size of 2 human hairs) and because their points are tapered like a pencil lead, not cut diagonally like a hypodermic, beyond the initial insertion, there is a small, gentle spreading of the tissue as they go in. Regardless, it is less sensation than one might feel if they accidentally prick their finger with a straight pin.
