Former professional basketball player Brian Grant played 12 seasons in the NBA. The most remarkable teams he played for were the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers. He was diagnosed at age 36, after he had retired from basketball, making this a case of young-onset Parkinson’s disease. He founded an organization called Brian Grant Foundation dedicated to raising awareness and inspiring all those living with Parkinson’s disease to develop a healthier lifestyle, including exercise in their routine.
