The Reality Behind Sleep Paralysis

At the time in which the experience is taking place, the entire body’s functions has yet to fully wake up. The patient would still be able to see and is conscious while the rest of the body would be temporarily paralyzed.  Some patients have also reported the experiences of supernatural visions.  One individual, a blogger and editor based in Los Angeles by the name of Elise Thompson, recounted a time in which she would, “wake up and one or more ‘spirits’ would be swarming around me trying to get inside and inhabit my body.”
