Undeniable Hope in the World of Fibromyalgia
Pharmacological treatments
Pharmacological treatments include treatments that mainly involve medications. Some of the most common medicines given to patients with FMS are anxiolytics, growth hormone injections, serotonin reuptake inhibitors, NSAIDs or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, sleep aids, antidepressants, opioids, and injections with lidocaine. Pharmacological treatments are directed mostly at intervening with the patient’s pain symptoms.
