Building a Survival Kit to Combat Rheumatoid Arthritis
Have a strong support system
Dealing with arthritis is hard enough without having to deal with it alone. Building a strong support system around you is extremely important. Many RA patients tend to feel that they can't do anything that they used to do. This leads to patients recusing themselves from social activities, and in some cases pulling away from family members and friends. Don't do that! Isolation often leads to numerous health problems like insomnia, depression, and a lack of energy. You don't want to be dealing with these issues alongside RA. Your family and friends are very important in helping you through RA. Talking with people that are struggling with the same things you are can be very helpful and can give you new insights that you may have not thought of before.
