How to Do the Pose
It may seem simple, as the mountain pose is “just standing,” but there is more to it than that. A person practicing the mountain pose should stand up straight, keep their feet close together (touching if possible), and draw the shoulders back. People in this pose should pretend that there is a pole sticking through the length of their body, keeping them straight.
Why Do the Pose?
The mountain pose is excellent for grounding, focus, and mental stamina. The person in this pose should imagine themselves gathering energy from the ground through their feet, as well as stand up straight. These allow the person to feel more relaxed, decrease stress, and an overall improvement in muscles and organs in the body.
