ASked to Cough mid CT Scan

I was given a CT scan with contrast and half way through the scan they stopped the machine asked me to sit up and cough, why would this be?

The technicians may have asked you to sit up and cough during the CT scan to assess the movement or displacement of structures or fluids in your body. To learn more, connect with me at drjeromepuryear.com. Thank you!
Maybe you had mucus in your airway? It's not a common thing.
The patient has probably a hiatus hernia and reflux in the esophagus. To see the reflux, coughing may be helpful during a CT scan.
The people who did the exam would know. Your physician who got the results could ask as was your right as well. Perhaps there was some momentary lung atelectasis (collapse) that a cough providing air flow into the area could aerate better. Again, the group that did the exam
would know facts and not conjecture.
