Are panic attacks a sign of schizophrenia?

I am a 16 year old male. My uncle has schizophrenia and I wonder if I have signs of it. Are panic attacks a sign of schizophrenia?

No. Panic attacks are an extreme form of anxiety.
No, panic attack signs are signs of anxiety disorder.
A person who has one psychiatric disorder is at a higher risk of having another comorbid psychiatric disorder. (This is no different from people with medical disorders- eg. having diabetes increases the risk of having hypertension or stroke). One study found that as many as 45% of those with schizophrenia may experience panic attacks. BUT presence panic symptom is NOT an indication that you have schizophrenia. Think of panic symptoms as fever. Just as fever, is associated w various medical conditions, panic attacks can be associated with variety of different psychiatric condition
Only time will tell. You should see a physician as they are trained to ask more questions to rule out different diseases.
