No none usually.
Sometimes people will have tias or vague symptoms beforehand, but not always. The key to stroke management is prompt evaluation in an ER as near to the onset of symptoms as possible.
Sometimes there are brief “ministrokes” called TIAs, with symproms lasting a few minutes to a couple of hours. The weakness or numbness goes away, but DO NOT ignore it. An ER doctor can hook you up with the right specialists and run some preliminary tests.
It is very common to have NO "warning signs/symptoms" prior to a stroke. On the other hand you may have a "TIA"(transient ischemic attack)--which includes symptoms like TRANSIENT(usually meaning a few minutes or so) loss of vision, double vision, slurred speech/difficulty speaking, imbalance, weakness/numbness of face, arm, and/or leg, etc, etc.
