“Are you put to sleep for a bone graft?”
I will have a dental bone graft. Are you put to sleep for a bone graft?

It is not absolutely necessary. Deep sedation is almost given by oral sugeons, but many practitioners use mild oral sedation( or none) and local anesthetics.
That depends on you and your surgeon. Many bone graft procedures really do not merit the increased risks associated with sedation because they are so quick and easy. There are some that may at least warrant a discussion of the benefits of sedation for the procedure.
You do not have to be put to sleep to have bone grafting. It can be done painlessly under local anesthesia and many times bone grafting is not even necessary.
