I am a 16 year old male. I want to know are you sedated when you get braces on?

Usually you are not sedated.
Most orthodontic providers do not use sedation (or putting you completely to asleep) when placing braces on, as the procedure is relatively comfortable, with minor stretches of cheeks etc.
