If you have had the pain for more than 6 weeks, it is not going to self-resolve. There is a problem in the area that needs to be diagnosed and treated. Start with an exam and x-rays to determine any skeletal issues. Manipulation therapy is highly effective for most back pain issues. Therapy to stretch and strengthen the area is also helpful. Coming up with an accurate diagnosis is the first step to resolving the problem. I wish you well.
Hello and thanks for sharing your lower back issue with the FATD community. I offer you my thoughts, tips, and suggestions regarding your problem.
From the history you provided, I am basically left in the dark. However, if it has been ongoing for 4 years, it certainly is not likely that it will simply resolve tomorrow. I am curious as to whether or not you have had a trauma to it in the past. I wonder what types of care you have had for it. I wonder how severe the pain is.
I also wonder if you have a routine to help keep your back flexible and strong. After 4 years, it may be best to get an examination from a medical provider. If you want to try some exercises (as a routine, 2-3 times a week for 4 weeks or so, to see if that makes a difference), I like these links:
