You strengthen/tonify your Qi and bring the body to balance (homeostasis and regulate the immune system amongst other systems in the body).
The practitioner should be able to assess the area based on location of the tooth and work with certain meridians that are connected to the pain. From there they would have questions about your medical history and your current situation. The practitioner will come up with a Chinese medicine diagnoses to determine how to proceed.
All patients needs diff balancing, individual acupuncture treatments no patient needs the same treatment here.
Your body will naturally rebalance your Chi to a certain extent. However, if you don’t feel better soon, Acupuncture can help to remove any blockages that may have been formed by the procedure. Also, staying away from processed foods, sugar, wheat, and dairy will help to speed up the healing process.
Remove wisdom teeth are nothing involved with your qi, it won't hurt your qi at all. Don't be worried.
Its a great question! In Chinese medicine, teeth emanate from health of the kidney, so we would firstly check your pulse to Determine where your qi is weak, which would likely show kidneys are in need of support after the shock. We would give points to support this. For a private consult: newmansacupilates@gmail.com
The concept of "Qi" is central to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and is considered the vital energy that flows through the body. When recovering from wisdom teeth removal, it is recommended to consult a qualified practitioner and follow their advice. Some general suggestions for post-surgical recovery in the TCM framework include acupuncture to restore Qi flow, herbal remedies for pain management and healing, and dietary adjustments to support the body's healing process and rebalance Qi.
Go see your acupuncturist. They'll fix you right up.
Hello there! Great question. Acupuncture is typically used after wisdom tooth removal for postoperative pain. It's also good for decreasing swelling as well as bleeding after removal. Acupuncture is often used after dental work to mitigate the trauma to the area due removals, surgery or routine dental work. It can help rebalance the body through meridian work locally, distally (arms, legs, or ears). Acupuncture also assists with the healing process by creating microtraumas in the surrounding area which will set the immune system into action. It also promotes circulation, decreases inflammation and alleviates pain. This is achieved through working LI and ST meridians with the addition to other points to break through qi stagnation and rebalance the body. Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions! Happy New Year!
You can rebalance your qi using massage, acupuncture and herbs. Doing light Tai Qi and meditation can also help in rebalancing your qi.
What is qi? What about the wisdom tooth removal process would lead you to believe yours is "out of balance"?

Most modern western interpretations of the Chinese character we pronounce as "qi" are fundamentally flawed/inaccurate. It's a term/idea/understanding that we probably should have adopted rather than attempted to translate.

That being said, if you're not experiencing any residual pain and there's no infection at the removal site, there's little call to do anything from a treatment perspective.
