If I got my birth control that goes in my arm and it has been expired is that bad if I don’t take it out can that be bad and can I get pregnant

It is designed to last so long b/o their studies. Beyond that time it still may work but no guarantees. I recommend getting I th replaced. It maybe ok to leave it in but less affective over time.
There is good evidence that Nexplanon can prevent pregnancy for up to 5 years. If it has been in for less than 5 years, it should still work. If it's been longer than that, I would recommend using a backup method and making an appointment with a provider to have the device replaced (if you liked it) or to start a different method of birth control.
Its not bad and you can get pregnant. RWV, MD
